Aurel — Perfume Brand Landing-page
Aurel is a concept perfume house with three scents, each named after an hour of the same evening, 17:20 Low Sun, 18:42 Last Light and 21:05 After Dark. I designed the landing page and an animated scroll prototype for it, in desktop and mobile.
Challenge
Perfume is hard to sell on a screen, because you can't smell it. Most perfume sites answer that with a dark page and a product grid, and the bottles end up looking the same.
The challenge here was to make three perfumes feel different without changing the layout, and to keep the page bright and warm while it still feels expensive.

Solution
The page tells the story of one evening. It starts in pale cream and ends in deep red, on a single gradient, so there is no line between two sections.
- Each perfume gets one full screen. The bottle stays on the centre line and only the liquid changes colour.
- The time sits behind the bottle at 400 px, the same way the brand name sits behind it in the hero.
- Ingredients float beside the bottle as cut-outs, with no box around them.
- Text always sits in the bottom corners, 64 px from the edge.
- The sun drops a little lower in every section. By the footer it is half set behind a calm sea.
